About the role
The Certified or Registered Medical Assistant provides vital clinical and administrative support to healthcare teams, ensuring efficient patient care and office operations.
Responsibilities
- Patient rooming, gathering histories, recording complaints, and medication reconciliation.
- Performing diagnostic tests, clinical procedures, and administering vaccines or medications.
- Managing patient communication, providing health education, and facilitating prescriptions.
- Handling front office tasks such as check-in/out, appointment scheduling, and benefit verification.
- Coordinating care through referrals, prior authorizations, and ensuring compliance with departmental standards.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Certifications such as CCMA, CMA, RMA, NRCMA, NCMA, or equivalent.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
Skills
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform clinical procedures accurately and efficiently.
- Team-oriented with problem-solving capabilities.
