About the role

The Certified or Registered Medical Assistant provides vital clinical and administrative support to healthcare teams, ensuring efficient patient care and office operations.

Responsibilities

• Patient rooming, gathering histories, recording complaints, and medication reconciliation.
• Performing diagnostic tests, clinical procedures, and administering vaccines or medications.
• Managing patient communication, providing health education, and facilitating prescriptions.
• Handling front office tasks such as check-in/out, appointment scheduling, and benefit verification.
• Coordinating care through referrals, prior authorizations, and ensuring compliance with departmental standards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Certifications such as CCMA, CMA, RMA, NRCMA, NCMA, or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
