Medical Assistant - Woman's Health

About the role

Munson Healthcare is a large healthcare system in northern Michigan with eight award-winning community hospitals. This position involves working in clinics, primarily in Charlevoix and Harbor Springs, with a flexible schedule that includes working 2-3 days per week in Charlevoix and the rest of the week in Harbor Springs.

Responsibilities

• Complete clinical and administrative tasks within the clinic
• Work alongside the provider to ensure patient care and clinic efficiency
• Room and prepare patients according to clinic-specific checklists or procedures
• Measure patient vital signs such as weight, height, oxygen saturation, respiration, temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other patient care as needed
• Document patient care information including medical histories, referral requests, etc.
• Perform various procedures under established protocols and processes, including sterile procedure setup and specimen collection
• Assist with daily operations as required for optimal patient care

Requirements

• Credentialed Medical Assistant
• High school graduate or GED equivalent
• Credentialed as a Medical Assistant from an approved Munson Healthcare Credentialing Organization
• BLS certification preferred and must be obtained within 90 days of hire and maintained
• Experienced in phlebotomy is highly preferred
• Non-credentialed Medical Assistant
• High school graduate or GED equivalent
• One year (1) relevant experience working in a physician practice or similar healthcare setting
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program approved by Munson Healthcare
• BLS certification preferred and must be obtained within 90 days of hire and maintained

Pay

$9,000 Sign-On Bonus (Terms and Conditions Apply)
