Medical Assistant with LSRT/RT

Role Overview: The Medical Assistant with LSRT or RT certification supports providers in a family practice and sports medicine setting by assisting with patient examinations, treatments, and ongoing care for diverse age groups. Key Responsibilities Prepare patients for procedures, including x-rays, and ensure safety and proper documentation.Welcome patients, obtain medical histories, vital signs, and verify demographic information.Support providers during examinations, perform clinical tests, and assist with orthopedic and sports medicine procedures such as injury documentation, splinting, and wound care.Perform diagnostic tests like EKGs, specimen collection, and venipuncture.Maintain clinical areas, ensure supplies are stocked, and adhere to infection control and safety standards.Support front office tasks, including scheduling and patient communication.Attend training and maintain certifications, ensuring compliance with clinic policies and regulations. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or GED; graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent.Current LSRT/RT certification and BLS/CPR certification.Experience in outpatient or physician practice settings; EMR proficiency required.Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.Ability to multitask, work collaboratively, and maintain professionalism under pressure. Preferred Attributes: Certification as a CMA or RMA, 1-3 years in primary care or sports medicine, experience with musculoskeletal injuries, and bilingual skills are advantageous. Physical & Work Environment: The role involves standing, walking, lifting, and working in a clinical setting with potential exposure to biohazards, requiring PPE adherence. The position demands attention to safety, accuracy, and compassionate patient care.
