About the role

NextCare Urgent Care is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Radiology Technician (RT), Practical Technologist in Radiology (PTR), Limited Scope Operator (LSO), Limited Medical Radiology Technologist (LMRT), or Limited Scope Radiology Technician (LSRT) to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities

  • Perform radiology duties within the scope of practice as defined by NextCare Policies and Procedures and state Radiation Rules and Regulations.
  • Assist providers with exams (including patient vitals), procedures, and other direct patient care tasks under provider supervision and within scope of practice.
  • Administer medications per policy and under provider direction, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Conduct urine collection for testing, including employer drug screens.
  • Perform splinting and casting as needed.
  • Conduct various physicals, such as sports physicals.
  • Perform other urgent care-specific duties as assigned.
  • Promptly report unusual patient occurrences, including medication events, via incident reports.
  • Notify the Clinic Manager of any patient or employee safety concerns.
  • Follow laboratory and clinical accreditation policies and guidelines.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in EMR/EHR systems.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned or described by company policy.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Diploma or certificate from an accredited radiology school and/or equivalent experience.
  • Certification as a Radiology Technician (RT), Practical Technologist in Radiology (PTR), Limited Scope Operator (LSO), Limited Medical Radiology Technologist (LMRT), or Limited Scope Radiology Technician (LSRT).
  • Current healthcare professional-level CPR certification (American Heart Association, American Red Cross, American Safety Health Institute, or National Safety Council).
