About the Role
A medical assistant functions under the direction, guidance, and supervision of a licensed physician, physician assistant, nurse practitioner, or RN. The role involves assisting in coordinating all aspects of care received in the Urgent Care setting.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program. In lieu of a Medical Assistant course, recent completion of one year formal RN program.
- Urgent care experience preferred.
- Current BLS card from American Heart Association (AHA).
Responsibilities
- Perform vitals and triage.
- Administer medications and assist with splinting.
- Demonstrate competency in lab and radiology orders.
- Maintain knowledge of medication rotation and record keeping.
- Operate equipment including EKG machine, blood pressure machine, otoscope, oxygen tank, stethoscope, nebulizer, glucose meter, thermometer, pulse-oximeter, Omnicell medication dispensing cabinet, computer, copy machine, fax machine, and scanner.

Pay
$23.00 - $32.61 per hour. The posted pay range reflects the lowest to highest pay available for this position at the time of posting and may be subject to change. Salary offers are determined by candidate’s relevant experience and skills. For per diem positions, a standard rate is used based on market data and not the candidate’s individual experience.
