About the role
The Urgent Access Clinic at Kaua‘i Medical Clinic provides treatment of minor illnesses and injuries on a walk-in basis. Services offered include general medical care, occupational medicine, X-rays, vaccines, school and sports physicals, and limited on-site prescriptions.
Responsibilities
- Perform a wide variety of patient care activities for clients of all ages.
- Work closely with physicians and other medical staff to ensure patient care is provided efficiently and effectively.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized clinic environment.
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and communicating with patients.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a Medical Assistant Program and/or equivalent work experience.
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with one of the following organizations: NAFHP, AAMA, AMT, NCCT, NHA, ARMA.
- Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card.
- Ability to pass departmental competency assessment within the first month of employment.
Qualifications
- One (1) year of back office medical assistant experience in an outpatient clinic, physician’s office, or related field.

$28.26 - $29.75 USD per hour
