Medical Assistant - Surgical Oncology
Responsibilities
- Aid in patient care under physician direction.
- Prepare patients for visits and procedures.
- Perform various patient care tasks including vaccine and medication administration, phlebotomy, and point of care testing.
- Provide indirect patient care via phone or Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Utilize EHR for efficient care.
- One year experience as a clinic back office medical assistant preferred.
- Completion of a medical assistant program or equivalent experience.
- Completion of a formal medical services training program of the United States Armed Forces.
- Completion of Basic or Advanced Oregon Emergency Medical Technician program (Oregon only).
- Licensure: MA certification required within one year, from AAMA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA.
- Oregon only: Current BLS for Providers from the American Heart Association.
