Medical Assistant Student CMA
Job Description
Promotes patient flow in both the clinical and clerical areas to provide care appropriate to the patient's age. Perform tasks and responsibilities within the framework of medical information gathering, health teaching, health counseling and provision of supportive care under the direction of a registered professional nurse or licensed physician, dentist or other licensed health care provider legally authorized under this title and in accordance with NYS Department of Health regulations.
Education And Credentials
- HS Diploma or GED required.
- Current status as Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) student in an accredited program required.
- Must successfully pass CMA Certification within 6 months of graduation.
Experience
1 year of experience in a medical environment preferred.
