MEDICAL ASSISTANT SR / MEDICAL ASSISTANT - FIXED, WFH - WFH WILSON SENIOR CENTER

About the role

A Medical Assistant Senior is a healthcare professional and an essential member of the patient-centered healthcare team. The MA Sr is instrumental in helping the patient feel at ease while collaborating with the provider throughout the patient's visit. The MA Sr is responsible for maintaining basic life support certification and remaining compliant with all organization educational, licensure or certification. This role may cross-train to provide services across sites and float as needed to maintain optimal clinic operations.

Schedule

FTE: 0.600000 (Standard Hours: 24.00), Shift 1, M/W/F 7:45a-4:30p. No holidays, no weekends.

Requirements

• Experience: 1 year of experience as medical assistant or in the field of the credential held is required.
• Education: HS Diploma or GED is required.
• Licensure (one of the following is required):
  • Military Medic/Corpsman training (must also obtain one of the certifications or licenses below within 6 months of hire)
  • Credentialed in ABR-OE (Assessment-Based Recognition in Order Entry)
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
  • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
  • NRCMA - Medical Assistant through the National Association for Health Professionals
  • CCMA Certified Clinical Medical Assistant
  • Certified Medical Assistant through the National Phlebotomy Certification Examination (NPCE)
  • Certified Paramedic
  • Advanced EMT
  • Graduated from an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program and current active LPN license
• BLS Certification: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Providers (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
