About the Role
The Medical Assistant II provides advanced clinical support within a collaborative, value-based healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage patient flow, scheduling, and clinician's daily appointments to optimize care delivery.
- Support clinicians by coordinating care, responding to calls, reviewing patient messages, and handling third-party documentation requests.
- Resolve patient satisfaction and operational concerns, advocate for patients, and participate in care improvement activities.
- Train and orient new staff, serve as a float across departments, and assist with electronic medical record upgrades.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3+ years in a clinical setting with at least 1 year as a Medical Assistant.
- Technical expertise beyond Medical Assistant I, problem-solving skills, and ability to serve as a resource.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (preferred).
