About the role

The Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant position at Endeavor Health offers a competitive hourly pay range of $19.89 - $28.84 per hour, determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones
• Schedule appointments
• Collect co-payments
• Complete patient registration
• Provide other administrative support to the physician practice
• Check in and check out patients
• Greet patients and escort them to exam room
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit
• Provide front office support as needed
• Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight
• Phlebotomy and injections may be required

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required. Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required.
• Certification: CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred, but not required.
• Experience: One year of work experience required, previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred. On the job training is provided for those who do not have previous medical assistant training or experience.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required. CPR certification through the American Heart Association is required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred, but not required.

Skills

Basic administrative and clerical skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, attention to detail, and computer proficiency are essential.
