About the role
Ascension Medical Clinic in Panama City, FL is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for day shift primary care.
Responsibilities
- Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information on patients' charts
- Assist with treatments ordered by physician as supervised by physician or registered nurse
- Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients
- Perform basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, filing, and provide general office and clerical support to the assigned area
- Perform basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies while maintaining a clean and orderly environment
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required (American Heart Association OR American Red Cross accepted)
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required
- Medical Assistant credentialed from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) preferred
Qualifications
- At least one year of experience in a Medical Clinic or Medical Group setting
- Demonstrated experience with patient rooming procedures
