About the role
We are seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians in a fast-paced healthcare setting, primarily in urgent care.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with routine clinical procedures and tests in the exam room
- Preparing patients for examinations and advising on test preparations
- Measuring vital signs and updating electronic medical records (EMR) accurately
- Ensuring patient flow and providing excellent patient communication
- Reconciling medications, processing refills, and performing point-of-care waived testing (e.g., strep, urine, glucose)
- Assisting in resolving patient concerns and maintaining smooth clinic operations
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, or Medical Assistant Certification
- Preferred: Associate degree in medical assisting or completion of a medical assistant program
- Experience with EMR systems, especially EPIC, and clinical or customer service experience
Skills
- Strong patient care and clinical support skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative healthcare team
Pay
Compensation ranges from $16.00 to $29.00 per hour.
