Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant (MA/PSA) - Medical Group Specialty Suites

Location: Lake Bluff, IL
Full-time (40 hours per week)

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (rotating shifts)
• 1 Saturday per month

Responsibilities

• Answer phones
• Schedule appointments
• Collect co-payments
• Complete patient registration
• Provide other administrative support to the physician practice
• Check in and check out patients
• Verify insurances
• Greet patients and escort them to exam room
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications, and reason for office visit
• Provide front office support as needed
• Perform basic vitals (blood pressure, height, weight)
• Phlebotomy and injections may be required

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience (required)
• Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program (preferred, but not required)
• CPR certification through the American Heart Association (required)
• Medical Assistant Certification (AMT, AAMA, ARMA, CCMA, CMA, MAC, AMCA) (preferred, but not required)
• One year of work experience (required)
• Previous experience working in a medical office or related field (preferred)
• On-the-job training provided for those without prior medical assistant training or experience

Pay

Hourly pay range: $19.89 – $28.84. The hourly rate offered is determined by a candidate’s expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
