Texas Spine Consultants is currently seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant to become part of our pain management practice! As a Medical Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work closely with healthcare providers to support clinical operations and ensure our patients receive the highest quality of care.

Responsibilities

• Answers phones
• Scribing for the provider
• Performs general nursing care to patients by following established standards and procedures
• Greets patients and takes them back to rooms
• Interviews patients, measures vital signs and records information on patient's charts
• May be required to collect urine samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis
• Prepares examination rooms and maintains daily cleaning list
• Filling out procedure consents
• Schedules patients for their special procedures with the ASC centers
• Formulates and documents patient care plans, charts, tests and examination results in the medical record
• Escalates non-routine issues to the Office Manager or Physician
• Performs other duties as assigned by Office Manager or Physician

Requirements

• Certified Medical Assistant: 1 year (Required)
• Scribe Experience is a Plus
• Medical office: 2 years (Required)
• Pain Management: 2 years (Preferred)
• Relevant: 1 year (Required)
• License/Certification: Certified Medical Assistant (Required)
