This position supports clinical and administrative duties under the oversight of an Onsite Registered Nurse (RN), Regional Account Manager (RAM), and Consulting Medical Director (CMD). Responsibilities include administrative clinic operations, medical surveillance tests, patient intake and care, client special requests, inventory management, and other occupational and environmental health services as needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic testing such as vital signs, EKG, audiogram, pulmonary function test, vision acuity, and respirator fit testing.
- Conduct Wellness Testing (body fat, aerobic capacity assessment, upper body strength, etc.) and provide counseling (diet, exercise, tobacco cessation, etc.).
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist during exams.
- Take and record vital signs: measure blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Record patient medical histories.
- Answer phones, greet patients, and manage correspondence.
- Manage patient appointments and maintain scheduling systems.
- Update and manage patient medical records.
- Order and maintain medical and office supplies; update the medication/supply expiration binder.
- Assist in managing the workers' compensation case management program.
- Perform additional duties and assume additional responsibilities as identified by the manager for efficient operation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of directly applicable experience.
- Knowledge and skills equivalent to those acquired through an accredited Medical Assistant education program, including basic medical terminology and reporting.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
- Current BLS certification.
- Valid driver’s license.
- One to three years of experience in the healthcare field or a related area; occupational health experience preferred.
- Certification in phlebotomy preferred.
- Willingness and ability to obtain HIPAA certification upon hire.

- Strong attendance and punctuality.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, internet, and email (e.g., Microsoft Outlook).
Physical Demands
- Requires sitting for long periods, working at a desk, and using a computer/phone.
- Some bending, stretching, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, or crouching may be required.
- Manual dexterity required for computer keyboard use.
- May occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
Work Environment
- Mainly indoor, office environment with moderate noise levels.
- Controlled temperature and good air quality.
Pay
Hourly pay range: $28 - $30 per hour. Final compensation will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and qualifications.
Schedule
20 hours per week; day shift.
