Medical Assistant - Part Time

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Consistently arrives at work on time and adheres to regular work schedule.
• Aid Drs. with patient care (i.e.: assisting with minor procedures/surgeries such as removing sutures, staples, moles, etc.).
• Perform various clerical duties (i.e.: answering phones, scheduling appointments, handling patient charts, etc.).
• Escort patients to exam rooms.
• Prepare exam rooms.
• Prepare patient for Drs. (i.e.: histories, blood pressure, vitals, etc.).
• Sterilize and prepare instruments.
• At the request of the physician, call in prescription refills.
• Order and maintain exam room supplies and instruments.
• Follow up with lab work and/or x-rays.
• Administer injections.

• Consistently arrives at work in appropriate/professional attire.
• Completes all tasks within established time frame.
• Adheres to all clinic policies and procedures.
• Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills.
• Seek appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assist co-workers as needed.
• Demonstrate adaptability to expanded roles.
• Credentialed as a Medical Assistant (i.e.: CMA or RMA).

Education

• Medical Assisting degree or diploma from an accredited school.

Preferred

• Clinical medical office experience.
