About the role

Bring your patient care experience to one of New Hampshire’s largest and most trusted orthopedic and sports medicine teams. Our Orthopedics and Sports Medicine practice is looking for a motivated, patient-focused Medical Assistant, EMT, CNA, PCA, or other hands-on clinical support professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being part of a collaborative care team.

Schedule and Locations

  • Full-time schedule options available, including 8- or 10-hour shifts, with hours ranging from 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, based on clinic needs.
  • Open to exploring other FTE arrangements and per diem opportunities depending on a candidate’s goals and availability.

  • New hires are expected to rotate across practice sites as part of the departmental onboarding program to gain exposure to different locations, workflows, and care teams.
  • A Medical Assistant’s work assignment will be tied to their provider’s primary location and may include travel with that provider to other practice locations as needed.
  • During the training period, we work to match each new hire with the right provider and corresponding care team to support long-term success.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant course or diploma program preferred.
  • At least one year of hands-on professional patient care experience valued.
  • Candidates with direct Medical Assistant experience are encouraged to apply, and we are also open to candidates with strong hands-on patient care experience such as EMTs, CNAs, PCAs, or similar clinical support backgrounds.
  • Basic Life Support certification preferred.
  • National Medical Assistant certification through AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT strongly preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Enthusiastic, dependable, team-oriented, and motivated to support patients and colleagues.

What You’ll Do

  • Support providers and clinical teams with both clinical and non-clinical patient care activities.
  • Room patients, take vital signs, and document patient information accurately.
  • Aid in patient flow to help ensure a smooth and efficient clinic experience.
  • Schedule appointments and support care coordination as needed.
  • Communicate with patients in a compassionate, professional, and reassuring manner.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and other team members to support timely, high-quality care.
  • Provide cross-coverage across practice locations when needed during staffing shortages or other operational needs.
