About the role
The Orthopedics and Sports Medicine practice at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital is seeking a Medical Assistant to support our fast-paced team. The role is per diem and can involve working at multiple locations including Somersworth, Lee, and Portsmouth.
Responsibilities
- Taking vital signs
- Documenting patient information
- Scheduling appointments
- Managing patient flow
- Direct patient interaction to ensure comfort and address concerns
- Collaboration with physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff to facilitate efficient care
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Experience in lieu of a degree is not accepted
- Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] preferred
- Certified Medical Assistant - preferred
- Direct MA experience or medical field work 0-1 year preferred
- National MA certification (AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT) is strongly preferred
