Medical Assistant | Oncology Baymeadows Clinic | Day Shift | PRN

About the Role

Required to float to all UF Health Jacksonville Oncology clinics and a dedication to near full-time schedule during training period. A professional multi-skilled person dedicated to assisting in all aspects of medical practice including administrative and clinical procedures under the direct supervision and responsibility of a licensed physician.

Schedule

Variable days Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Less than one year of Medical Assistant experience; preference for one year of experience.
• Employees hired on or after February 15, 2018, must be a graduate from an approved Medical Assistant program.

Skills

• Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
• Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of ambulatory health care or related health care fields.
• Skilled in conflict resolution.
• Ability to use computers.

Required Licensure/Certifications

• Employees hired on or after August 1, 2021, must obtain medical assistant certification within 6 months of date of hire/transfer into the position.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
