Medical Assistant - Obs Chest Pain

About the role

We are seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) to join our team at Memorial Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health. This role is dedicated to supporting the healthcare team in providing exceptional care to patients.

Responsibilities

• Assists with performing patient assessments and treatments under the supervision of physicians or nurses.
• Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
• Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
• Maintains examination areas.
• Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
• Exhibits exceptional customer service with patients and teammates.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
• CMA, RMA, or CCMA via the AAMA or NHA required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Qualifications

• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
