About the role

The role of Medical Assistant is crucial in the care team, working closely with licensed practitioners to provide care to patients. Responsibilities include maintaining patient records, preparing rooms for examinations, and assisting physicians with exams.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate patient records
  • Prepare patients and rooms for examination
  • Assist physicians with exams
  • Update medications, allergies, and other information in patient records
  • Perform some medical procedures, specimen collection, and lab testing

Requirements

Home clinics are located across multiple locations including Ear Nose & Throat, Gastroenterology, Sleep Medicine, Neurosurgery, Occupational Medicine, Rheumatology, Kidney Care, Vascular Vein, Pulmonology, Liver and Pancreas. Candidates should have:

  • Clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration
  • Experience in a clinic setting (0-6 months)
  • Customer service experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting with an Electronic Health Record (EHR)

Qualifications

  • Associate Medical Assistant: Graduated from an accredited school or registered medical assistant apprenticeship program, or completed two years of medical training in the U.S. Armed Forces, or one year of work experience as a medical assistant with specified clinical skills, and Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.
  • Medical Assistant Registered: Graduated from an accredited school or registered medical assistant apprenticeship program, or completed two years of medical training in the U.S. Armed Forces, or one year of work experience as a medical assistant with specified clinical skills, and Washington Medical Assistant Registration within 60 days of hire.

Skills

Essential skills include clerical computer and phone skills, customer service, medical terminology, and hands-on clinical skills.

The salary range for this position is $18.23 - $27.30, with additional compensation available.

Pay

The starting pay for Associate Medical Assistant is $20.91/hr or higher, and for Medical Assistant Registered and Medical Assistant is $22.19/hr or higher, depending on experience.

Schedule

Full-time schedule is available, with multiple shifts available.
