Medical Assistant - MA - Orthopedics

Job Summary

Geisinger offers eligible candidates a $1,500 sign-on bonus for Medical Assistant positions. MAs work in a progressive learning environment across hundreds of community sites providing top-notch care in an outpatient clinical setting.

Job Duties

• Supports patients and providers by performing basic direct patient care activities.
• Performs tasks such as taking vital signs, assisting with ambulation, dressing and undressing for examination, setting up for minor procedures, collecting lab specimens, and completing documentation.
• Accompanies providers during patient examinations and assists as needed.
• Supports patients by reinforcing instructions and enhancing adherence to treatment and care plans.
• Reports patient concerns and issues to appropriate care team members and follows through as directed.
• Ensures the cleanliness and organization of the work environment and maintains equipment in good working order.
• Completes Midas reports as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year related work experience (Preferred)

Pay

Hiring Incentive: This position qualifies for a $1,500 sign-on bonus paid over one year. Certain stipulations do apply.

Full time, 40 hours a week. 8:00am-4:30pm
