About the role
Responsible for front office duties of all medical practices as assigned and/or supports clinical care team members with the delivery of patient care in accordance with Medical Assistant Scope of Practice.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the data collection for the assessment of the patient.
- Implement a teaching plan with patient, family and/or caregiver(s) as necessary.
- Demonstrate proficiency of all duties within the Medical Assistant Scope of Practice.
- Implement orders and treatment plan components as directed by Provider(s).
- Adhere to workplace policies, including punctuality, attendance, and following company procedures.
- Interact in a positive and constructive manner.
- Prioritize and multitask effectively.
Must excel in communication (written & verbal), customer service, and be able to work independently or as part of a team. Must demonstrate strong prioritization, organization, and multi-tasking skills with attention to detail and follow-through. Critical thinking skills are required to identify issues, problem-solve, and demonstrate initiative.
Requirements
- One (1) year of medical office and clinical experience in an ambulatory care environment.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Certificate from an Accredited Medical Assistant Program.
- BLS for Healthcare Provider certification.
Phlebotomy Certification preferred.
Pay
- MA Level 1 (0 to 2 years of experience): $23.00/hr - $33.18/hr
- MA Level 2 (2+ years of experience): $25.22/hr - $36.57/hr
$2,500 signing bonus available to external hires new to MHS employment, contingent upon satisfaction of employment requirements. Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. Additional compensation may include shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities.
