Medical Assistant (MA, EMT, CNA) - Primary Care

Responsibilities

• Perform basic clinical and clerical tasks within the Medical Assistant scope of education, including vitals, medication and allergy reconciliation, screenings, patient history, and virtual health support.
• Conduct point-of-care testing, including quality control and documentation.
• Assist providers with in-house procedures as needed.
• Provide administrative support: scheduling, chart prep, referrals, check-in/out, prior authorizations, and transportation facilitation.
• Float to other offices based on business needs.

Requirements

• Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program OR an active CT CNA, EMT, Paramedic, or Medic certification OR at least one year of direct patient care experience (acute or ambulatory).
• Certified BLS Provider credential from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 months of hire.
• Relevant experience or MA externship in a busy medical office preferred.
• EPIC EMR experience preferred.
• Comfortable caring for patients across the lifespan (pediatric, adult, and geriatric).
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
