Medical Assistant (MA): Davenport Health Plaza FP

About the role

Supports the operation of the clinical practice by performing a variety of administrative and clinical tasks. This position is responsible for assisting physicians and other healthcare providers in delivering patient care through patient preparation, vital sign collection, documentation, and basic clinical procedures. The Medical Assistant also coordinates patient flow, maintaining accurate medical records, and ensuring a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and other healthcare providers in delivering patient care
• Perform patient preparation and vital sign collection
• Document patient information and maintain accurate medical records
• Coordinate patient flow through the clinical practice
• Perform basic clinical procedures as needed
• Ensure a positive patient experience throughout the visit

Requirements

• Must have successfully completed an accredited Medical Assistant program
• MA Certification/Registration preferred prior to hire and required within one year of hire

Schedule

36 hours per week, Day shift, Monday through Friday
