Job Summary
The medical assistant (MA) plays a vital role on the CF care team and is a key contact for the CF community. The MA role requires someone who can work well independently and in a team atmosphere, has excellent communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, is motivated, willing to learn, and seeks opportunities for improvement. The MA is responsible for providing a variety of multi-skilled services combining their administrative and clinical knowledge.
Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish required.
- High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program OR an active CT CNA, EMT, Paramedic Certification OR relative experience
- In lieu of education requirement, at least one year of experience in direct patient care (acute or ambulatory space) may be considered.
- Relevant experience or MA externship in a busy medical office.
- EPIC EMR preferred.
- Certified BLS to be obtained through employment provided RQI training. To be completed 3 months (90) days of hire or job transfer.
- All required credentials to be maintained throughout employment.
Work Location & Shift Details
Location: 80 Seymour Street (10008)
Shift: Monday-Friday 8AM-4:30 PM.
