Medical Assistant/LPN - Primary Care

Responsibilities

• Assists and delivers patient care duties
• Provides administrative support throughout the practice
• Assists the provider in examination and treatment of patients
• Performs miscellaneous delegated duties under the direction of the provider
• Interviews patients
• Makes measurements of vital signs
• Records information in patients' charts
• Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients

Requirements

• Current Medical Assistant certification/registration as CCMA, CMA (AAMA), NCMA, RMA (through AMT)
• Completion of KHMG Medical Assistant Training Program or MA program through an accredited institution of higher learning and successful attainment of certification/registration within 15 months of hire
• Graduate of accredited LPN program (or equivalent) with current Ohio license
• Required Medical assistants who are not certified or registered at the time of hire will be restricted from administering medication and entering Epic orders until the required credentials are obtained and verified

Qualifications

• 1-year clinical experience in a medical/physician office setting preferred
• Experience with use of electronic medical records preferred
