Medical Assistant or LPN - Primary Care

Summary of Position

A Medical Assistant for the Premier Health Physician Companies will typically see upwards of 30 patients per day and is responsible for general clinical and procedural patient care under the supervision of the Practice Manager and/or center Physicians/Providers. Medical Assistants are an integral part of the offices and are relied upon to assist in delivering the very best patient experience—every patient, every time.

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients and collecting vitals
• Performing pulmonary function tests
• Administering injections
• Conducting EKGs
• Providing breathing treatments
• Performing lab testing
• Changing dressings and cleaning wounds
• Conducting hearing and vision tests
• Other duties as assigned
• Maintaining attention to detail and excellent documentation

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduated from a recognized Medical Assistant program and/or Certified Medical Assistant
• Prior experience in an ambulatory health‑care facility preferred
• Ability to learn related center tasks and assist management and physicians
• Self‑motivated to achieve the highest patient care and customer service standards
• CPR certified within the first 3 months of employment
• Knowledge of ICD‑10 and CPT coding
• Familiarity with the EPIC EMR (strongly preferred)
• Thorough understanding of HIPAA law
