About the Role

This position involves providing clinical and patient care services as a Medical Assistant (MA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). The role focuses on delivering empathetic, comprehensive reproductive health care, supporting patient education, and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to promote community health.

Responsibilities

  • Interview and screen patients, documenting information in electronic medical records.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and assess/triage patient complaints.
  • Conduct routine lab tests and communicate results to patients.
  • Provide patient education on birth control, pregnancy options, and reproductive health while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and protocols.
  • Assist with medical procedures and manage clinical supplies.
  • Supervise delegated nursing functions and participate in onboarding and cross-training.
  • Perform ultrasound services and monitor post-procedure recovery.
  • Support emergency care within the scope of practice.

Requirements

  • For Medical Assistants: Completion of a medical assisting program or related experience, current BLS certification, and relevant licensure or experience.
  • For LPNs: Active Minnesota LPN license and BLS certification.
  • Knowledge of clinical protocols and excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Up-to-date immunization records and adherence to safety and legal standards.
  • Participation in ongoing training and professional development.
