About the Department
The Children's Clinic provides a range of services from well-child care to educational and outreach programs. They care for children with complex medical, psychosocial problems, and acute and chronic childhood illnesses. They also provide developmental, behavioral, nutritional assessment and guidance, and parent education.
About the Role
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides support to providers in the delivery of timely, high-quality patient care services in a clinic environment. The clinical service functions include initial data collection, assisting providers with rooming, check-in, and scheduling of appointments. The LPN also assists patients with prescription management, patient registration, answering patient concerns, and maintaining outpatient medical records. The LPN may also serve as the clinical Lead. Individuals in this role will work in an outpatient clinic setting.
Responsibilities
- Support providers in delivering timely, high-quality patient care
- Perform initial data collection and assist with patient rooming
- Manage check-in and scheduling of appointments
- Assist with prescription management and patient registration
- Address patient concerns and maintain outpatient medical records
- Serve as clinical Lead and support Medical Assistants
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate’s or Vocational degree from a Board of Nursing approved LPN program required
- BLS certified
- LPN license through the Minnesota Board of Nursing (MNBN)
- 1-2 years of clinic LPN experience preferred

Pay
The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. Annual salaries are based on full-time employment (40 standard hours per week) and will be prorated for part-time positions. Individual pay rates consider market indicators, skills, education, training, credentials, experience, internal equity, and organizational needs.

In addition to salary, this position may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits. Positions requiring night, weekend, or on-call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.
