Medical Assistant Lead

About the role

The Medical Assistant Lead position at Dignity Health Medical Group in Gilbert, Arizona is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations within the clinic. This includes preparing patient charts, ensuring all information is accurate, and assisting with various clinical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Takes the lead on proactively preparing patient charts, ensuring all information is obtained and up-to-date.
• Assists the nurse/physician during examinations, treatments, and procedures as needed.
• Retrieves necessary equipment and supplies.
• Aids in patient/equipment preparation.
• Performs follow-up actions as directed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED and completion of a Medical Assistant Program or U.S. Armed Forces medical services training program.
• Six months' experience in an outpatient setting as a Medical Assistant.
• Demonstrated experience with computer programs used for checking-in and scheduling patients.
• Passionate about helping others and possessing excellent organizational and communication skills.

Preferred

• One year of Medical Assistant experience.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
• Previous experience in designated specialties.
• Bilingual skills.
