Full-time, 100% FTE, day shift. Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm, no weekends required. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

About the role

Be part of something remarkable. Provide a remarkable patient experience, as you are often one of the first people a patient interacts with at their appointment. Join our team of providers who provide diagnosis and treatment of both acute and chronic illnesses, gynecological care, and urgent care for patients over 18 years of age.

  • Perform important preparation work like taking vitals, noting patients’ needs and concerns, and assisting with clinic procedures and exams.
  • Promote healthy lifestyles, wellness, and education.
  • Provide quality care in a compassionate and patient-family centered environment.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent and ONE of the following:

  • Completion of an accredited medical assistant program
  • Licensure as an LPN
  • Completion of the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program or an Employee Partner Medical Assistant Program
  • Attainment of the CCMA certification as a UWH employee
  • Acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program – Accelerated
  • One year of recent Medical Assistant experience and CMA, RMA or CCMA Certification

Qualifications

  • 1 year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN (Preferred)
  • Certified as MA, CMA, RMA, or CCMA within 1 Year (Required) or Licensure as an LPN Upon Hire (Required)
  • If applying in lieu of Medical Assistant education or LPN licensure, must have current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification Upon Hire (Required)
  • CPR/BLS certification Upon Hire (Required)

Pay

UW Health offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Work experience that is relevant to the position will be taken into consideration when determining the starting base pay.
