About the Unit

Our Internal Medicine/Pediatrics practice is located at 3185 Macatawa Dr in Grandville. We currently have 8 providers with plans for a new physician in fall of 2026. The practice serves both adults and children. Medical Assistants typically work a four-day work week, with one early morning and one late night until 7pm. The team has a positive and friendly culture with providers and staff who enjoy teaching.

Scope of Work

As a Medical Assistant with Corewell Health, you'll be a member of the clinical support team and work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality care. You'll play a vital role in making a real difference in the lives of patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care and clinical support functions consistent with the Medical Assistant scope of practice.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent Required
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program that includes hands-on, in-person clinical skills training OR a minimum of one (1) year of experience working specifically in the role of a Medical Assistant, LPN, Paramedic, or EMT performing direct patient care and clinical support functions consistent with MA scope of practice Required
• 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting Preferred
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 90 Days
• One of the following certifications Required within 120 Days:
  • AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
  • AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
  • NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA)
  • NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)
  • NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
