Job Overview
The Medical Assistant III - Care Services Coordinator assists in the provision of direct patient care by performing routine patient care procedures and technical and clerical supportive services in the clinic setting. This position may administer intramuscular, subcutaneous, or intradermal injections, perform skin tests, administer oral medication, perform venipunctures, and perform skin punctures for blood specimens.
Minimum Requirements
- High School graduate or GED, along with a Medical Assistant diploma, is required.
- A certified phlebotomy technician (CPT 1) is preferred.
- California phlebotomist license, preferred
- Minimum of 4 years of experience, preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with a frail or elderly population is preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
- A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.
Compensation
