Medical Assistant III, Care Services Coordinator

Job Overview

The Medical Assistant III - Care Services Coordinator, under general supervision and within the regulatory scope of practice, assists in the provision of direct patient care by performing routine patient care procedures and technical and clerical supportive services in the clinic setting. This position may administer intramuscular, subcutaneous, or intradermal injections, perform skin tests, administer oral medication, perform venipunctures, and perform skin punctures for blood specimens.

Minimum Requirements

• High School graduate or GED, along with a Medical Assistant diploma
• Valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified phlebotomy technician (CPT 1) preferred
• California phlebotomist license preferred
• Minimum of 4 years of experience preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with a frail or elderly population preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Compensation

$27.25 - $32.02 hourly
