Responsibilities
- Coordinates daily clinical operations and ensures patient flow efficiency.
- Prepares patients for examination, obtains vital signs, and documents medical information accurately.
- Administers medications and performs clinical procedures within scope of certification.
- Affords assistance to providers during examinations and minor procedures.
- Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to support care coordination.
- Trains, mentors, and provides feedback to medical assistant staff to promote competency and teamwork.
- Maintains compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
- Participates in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
- Maintains supply levels and equipment functionality to support operational readiness.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent and vocational/technical training in a designated technical area.
- 5-7 years of experience in a healthcare, clinical setting, or a relevant area.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- All experience must be paid and in the same related field.
- Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week.
- Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), Basic Life Support (BLS).
