Responsibilities

• Coordinates daily clinical operations and ensures patient flow efficiency.
• Prepares patients for examination, obtains vital signs, and documents medical information accurately.
• Administers medications and performs clinical procedures within scope of certification.
• Affords assistance to providers during examinations and minor procedures.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to support care coordination.
• Trains, mentors, and provides feedback to medical assistant staff to promote competency and teamwork.
• Maintains compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
• Participates in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Maintains supply levels and equipment functionality to support operational readiness.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and vocational/technical training in a designated technical area.
• 5-7 years of experience in a healthcare, clinical setting, or a relevant area.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• All experience must be paid and in the same related field.
• Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week.
• Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), Basic Life Support (BLS).
