About the role
The Medical Assistant II (MA II) supports the delivery of urological services, performs work as required and functions as an effective member of the interdisciplinary team. The MA II will perform various administrative and clinical duties under the direction of their assigned direct supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and room patients
- Obtain and document vital signs and medical histories
- Absorb and document patient interview, history, and chief complaint
- Provide patient education with regards to medications, management of diseases, home treatments and special diets
- Prepare patients for examinations and perform routine screening tests
- Absorb and assist providers with patient care and clinical procedures
- Cook up and document clinical workflow to ensure an outstanding patient experience
- Support a collaborative team environment focused on quality care
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program required
- New graduates welcome to apply (externship must be completed)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and patient service abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy clinical setting
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Team player who enjoys helping patients and coworkers succeed
Qualifications
- Medical Assistant Certification or Registration preferred
- Knowledge in healthcare systems operations such as EMR, Practice Management Solutions
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
- Project Management
- Vendor relations (for those MA’s that are required to order office and clinical supplies)
- Database management
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Skill in using computer programs and applications including Microsoft Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Delivers exceptional patient service throughout all interactions
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Complies with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality

Pay
- Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications
Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- Start time between 6:30 AM – 8:00 AM
- Approximately 8.5-hour shifts
- 40 hours per week
- No weekends
