Medical Assistant I/II (CMA/RMA)

About the Role

Millennium Physician Group is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant/CMA/RMA to join our Primary Care medical team in Tampa, FL. We are looking for a positive, energetic, well-organized team member who can multi-task, think outside of the box, and support our top initiative of ensuring excellent patient care and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide top-notch Patient Experience for every patient that walks into the office
• Assist in examination and treatment of patients under direction of the Physician, ARNP or PA
• Collect patient vitals and medical histories
• Administer diagnostic testing and perform basic medical procedures
• Enter data in the electronic health records
• Perform any other tasks required to give the best patient care

Training

Millennium will provide ample training, including both classroom setting and hands-on training. New hires will be introduced to and walked through Electronic Health Records systems, referral processes, the Patient Portal, and everything needed to be a successful team member.

Requirements

• Completed a Medical Assisting Program
• Completion of Certification or Registration (CMA/RMA)
• CPR/BLS certification (must be kept current)
• Ability to type at minimum 40 WPM

Skills & Abilities

• Strong computer skills and knowledge of EMR systems (Athena knowledge preferred but not required)
• Ability to regularly stand, walk, climb and balance
• Ability to occasionally sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
• Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Schedule

Monday - Friday, with 7 paid Holidays plus 1 personal paid holiday.
