Medical Assistant I

About the role

First Flight Health Centers is a mission‑driven organization dedicated to improving the health and well‑being of the patients we serve. As a Medical Assistant you will support providers and deliver excellent patient care in a fast‑paced, patient‑focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain vital signs, and update medical histories.
• Assist with procedures and examinations.
• Perform clinical duties such as injections, EKGs, venipuncture, and lab testing.
• Document patient information in the EMR.
• Coordinate patient flow and support providers.
• Educate patients and support follow‑up care.
• Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and equipment.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 3 years of experience.
• CPR certification.
• Strong computer and communication skills.
• Preferred: Medical Assistant certification.
• Preferred: EMR experience.
• Preferred: 0–2 years of clinical experience.
• Preferred: Knowledge of ICD‑10 and CPT coding.
