About the role

Supporting our providers is a compassionate team dedicated to delivering outstanding patient care every step of the way. Our Child Life Specialists work alongside the clinical team to help children feel safe, informed, and comfortable throughout their surgical journey. As a Medical Assistant, you'll play an essential role in supporting our physicians while providing compassionate, family-centered care in a specialty practice dedicated to children.

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients and obtaining vital signs
• Preparing patients for examinations and minor procedures
• Aiding providers during patient visits
• Administering injections, medications, and vaccines as directed
• Performing phlebotomy and specimen collection as needed
• Documenting patient information accurately in the electronic medical record
• Cooking referrals, diagnostic testing, and follow-up appointments
• Providing patient and family education
• Maintaining exam rooms, supplies, and clinical equipment
• Delivering compassionate, family-centered care in a fast-paced pediatric surgical practice

Requirements

• Candidates must meet one of the following requirements:
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program within the last 2 years, or
• Current Medical Assistant certification:
• CMA (AAMA)
• CCMA (NHA)
• RMA (AMT)
• OR one year of Medical Assistant experience within the last four years

Pay

Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate: $21.54 - $25.31 / hour
