Medical Assistant - Full-Time Nights-Intake

We currently serve over 40 correctional facilities across Georgia and Louisiana.
About the role
We are seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our team for the night shift in Gretna, LA. In this role, you will participate in the clinical aspect of patient care alongside healthcare professionals and law enforcement, providing care to the inmate population while responding to the unique needs of the correctional environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties under the supervision of a Paramedic, LPN, RN, Health Services Administrator (HSA), Health Services Coordinator (HSC), Midlevel Provider, or Physician, in accordance with state regulations.
- Collaborate with all members of the healthcare team and law enforcement to deliver patient care.
- Maintain a professional attitude at all times within the correctional environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- American Heart Association BLS certification.
- Medical Assistant certificate or diploma, military documentation from an approved program, current EMT certification, CNA certification, PCT certification, or proof of active enrollment in an approved school of nursing.
