Medical Assistant Full Time Instructor

Seeking a highly motivated individual with a passion for teaching.

Responsibilities

• Teach medical assisting courses according to the lesson plan and syllabus as directed by the program supervisor
• Prepare and grade written and practical examinations
• Attend faculty meetings, in-service meetings, graduation ceremonies, and other events as required by the College
• Dress professionally in accordance with faculty dress code
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of work experience in the medical assisting field (with diploma, degree, or certificate)
• Minimum of three years of work experience in the medical assisting field (without diploma, degree, or certificate)
• High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
• Degree, Diploma, or Certificate in the field (preferred)
• Must be willing to take the CCMA exam if not already certified
• CCMA certification (required within 75 days of employment)
• In-field experience: 2-3 years

• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
• Knowledge of and ability to apply relevant current education methodologies and techniques
