Medical Assistant Instructor - Full Time
Charter College is expanding its Medical Assistant Program in the Pasco, WA area. About the role
The Full-Time Instructor is responsible for delivering quality curriculum content in online, on-ground, and/or blended modalities. This position reports to a Program Manager and plays a key role in student retention and academic success.
Responsibilities
- Participate in student retention efforts, including identifying and assisting “at-risk” students.
- Prepare and deliver lecture, laboratory, and clinical instruction according to the required curriculum.
- Follow or develop course outlines, objectives, and evaluation mechanisms as directed by the Program Manager.
- Maintain a lesson plan of daily instructional events.
- Monitor student attendance and retention, documenting as required.
- Process course end grades and assign final grades in a timely manner.
- Grade assignments and provide relevant feedback to students.
- Provide educational assistance during office hours or by appointment.
- Substitute in classes when necessary.
- Advise students on school policies and performance.
- Maintain communication with the Program Manager regarding student issues.
- Submit current textbook, supply, and equipment needs in writing.
- Monitor equipment and supply inventory in locked facilities.
- Maintain a professional appearance and expertise through faculty development.
- Ensure students follow catalog guidelines daily.
- Attend all scheduled mandatory meetings.
- Serve on committees (e.g., curriculum development, retention) as assigned.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant.
- Three (3) years of experience in the field.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Experience in a blended teaching environment preferred but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Ability to relocate to Pasco, WA before starting work (required).
Pay
$25 - $28.66/hour, dependent on experience, knowledge, and education level.
