Medical Assistant (Full Time)

Responsibilities
- Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance quality of service and care offered to patients and providers
- Assist physicians in medical, cosmetic, and laser procedures
- Record prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorizations, and procedures within established guidelines
- Understand provider-to-patient flow and anticipate the provider’s next steps
- Prepare rooms before and after patients, including checking all equipment at the start of each shift
- Provide pre-care and post-care treatment instructions as needed
- Daily scan all retail and cosmetic products and medical supplies, alerting the Head MA and/or GM of low-level supplies
- Perform inventory responsibilities and stock supplies and equipment as requested
- Attend all in-house training and continued education opportunities
Requirements
- Dermatology experience required
- Healthcare experience required
- Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred
- Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Excellent patient relations and customer service skills
- Open availability to work weekdays and weekends
Schedule
Full-time, 30+ hours per week. Availability Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays within operating hours of 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM. Flexibility to cover shifts in a team environment is required.
Pay
Hourly pay range: $16.50 – $21
