Schedule

  • Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Includes one late evening shift and alternating Saturdays

Responsibilities

  • Welcoming and rooming patients
  • Taking and recording vital signs
  • Obtaining patient medical histories
  • Preparing patients for exams and procedures
  • Assisting providers during exams and treatments
  • Performing:
    • Phlebotomy
    • Immunizations
    • Point-of-care (POC) testing
  • Setting up exam and procedure rooms

Requirements

Required:

  • Previous experience in a family medicine or primary care setting

Preferred Skills:

  • Phlebotomy
  • Immunizations
  • Point-of-care (POC) testing
  • Strong clinical skills (e.g., accurate BP measurement, procedure setup)

Additional Requirements:

  • Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160 hour minimum).
  • OR Graduate from a Medical Assistant program without completion of a clinical externship but with a minimum one-year experience in clinical medical assisting within the past five (5) years.
  • OR Current Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in clinical medical assisting.
  • OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
  • OR Licensed Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least one-year clinical experience in a clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years.
  • OR Military trained medical personnel with at least one-year clinical experience in a clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years.

Certifications/Licensures Required:

  • Current BLS-C upon hire or successful completion by end of orientation.
