Henry Ford Macomb Family Medicine – Seville is committed to delivering exceptional, compassionate care to our community. We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced, patient-focused team.What You’ll Do
As a Medical Assistant, you will support both clinical and administrative functions, including:- Welcome and room patients
- Take and record vital signs
- Obtain patient medical histories
- Prepare patients for exams and procedures
- Assist providers during exams and treatments
- Perform:
- Phlebotomy
- Immunizations
- Point-of-care (POC) testing
- Set up exam and procedure rooms
What We’re Looking For
Required:- Previous experience in a family medicine or primary care setting
- Phlebotomy
- Immunizations
- POC testing
- Strong clinical skills (e.g., accurate BP measurement, procedure setup)
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Strong multitasking skills
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented with excellent communication skills

Additional Requirements
- Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160 hour minimum)
- OR Graduate from a Medical Assistant program without completion of a clinical externship but with a minimum one-year experience in clinical medical assisting within the past five (5) years
- OR Current Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in clinical medical assisting
- OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- OR Licensed Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years
- OR Military trained medical personnel with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years
Certifications/Licenses Required
- Current BLS-C upon hire or successful completion by end of orientation
