About the role
As a Medical Assistant (MA-C), you’ll help with administrative and clinical tasks like scheduling appointments, updating information in EPIC and taking patients’ vital signs at appointments. Our clinical environments foster a feeling of teamwork and provide pathways to leadership for MAs with a desire to advance their careers.
Responsibilities
- Helping with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and updating information in EPIC
- Taking patients’ vital signs at appointments
- Performing duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients
- Assisting in the clinical needs/functions for assigned clinic/location of work
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands-on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants
- Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program
- Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces
- Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire
- 6 months Healthcare experience
- 6 months Medical Assistant experience
Qualifications

Skills
Competent in the clinical needs/functions for assigned clinic/location of work, performing all aspects of the MA I role, and working under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients.
