About the role
Nest Health is a healthcare startup founded in 2022 by Dr. Rebekah Gee and Rebecca Kavoussi. It provides comprehensive medical, behavioral, and social care to high-risk families in the U.S., including primary care, mental health, nutrition support, vaccinations, and more.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and support in the home setting, including vital signs, medical history updates, specimen collection, and medication administration.
- Assist providers with procedures and adhere to infection control standards.
- Complete accurate EMR documentation and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
- Engage in patient registration, administrative workflows, and prior authorization approvals.
- Perform clerical tasks such as sending/receiving medical records, obtaining diagnostic reports, and managing charting processes.
- Advocate for and provide education on health and social care services to Nest families.
- Proactively contact families to ensure they are connected to necessary providers and resources.
- Participate in outreach efforts to educate potential families about Nest services.
Requirements
- Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Fluency in English.
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 1-3 years of relevant experience.
- Vital Signs and phlebotomy experience for 1 year.
- EMR Systems experience for 1 year.
- Active BLS certification.
- Experience in counseling, community work, or similar roles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional appearance, presentation, and demeanor.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to comply with Nest's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy.
Qualifications
- Passport and international travel may be required.
- Ability to drive to family homes and carry portable healthcare supplies.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Able to lift to 25 pounds occasionally.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $40,000 - $60,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
Schedule
This is a mobile job requiring frequent travel to family homes. The exact schedule will vary based on patient needs and Nest's operational demands.
