About the role

Central Florida Pain Relief Center – Downtown Orlando is seeking a Medical Assistant / EMT to join our interventional pain management team. This full‑time position (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) offers hands‑on clinical experience in a supportive, fast‑paced setting, ideal for recent graduates or gap‑year students preparing for a healthcare career.

Responsibilities

• Assist with provider documentation and charting during patient visits (high‑volume data entry)
• Check patients in and out, schedule procedures, provide preoperative instructions
• Take vital signs, update patient medical histories, and perform intake
• Prepare exam rooms and ensure equipment is clean and stocked
• Assist during exams and procedures as directed by providers
• Communicate with patients about upcoming procedures, instructions, and follow‑ups
• Manage communication with pharmacies
• Coordinate patient care through phone calls, faxes, and secure messaging
• Help track and follow up on medical clearances, referrals, and lab results
• Support front and back office tasks as needed for team coverage
• Ensure accurate and timely entry of clinical documentation in EMR systems
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and a high standard of professionalism at all times
